Build–Operate–Transferfor IT teams in Malaysia

Stand up a Malaysia IT capability without waiting for your own entity. We recruit and operate the team compliantly, then transfer employment and process when you are ready to own it.

Build

Recruit the Malaysia IT squad to your plan

Operate

Employ, payroll, and support while you direct work

Transfer

Hand over people and process to your entity

Three phases, one programme

BOT is not a single hire — it is a planned path from first Malaysia joiners to a team you fully own.

Build

We recruit your Malaysia IT team against an agreed plan — roles, stack, location, and ramp timeline — using permanent and/or contract models as the mandate requires.

Operate

Tech Talent employs and administers the team (often via Employer of Record), while your managers direct delivery. We handle payroll, statutory compliance, and day-to-day people support.

Transfer

When your local entity (or preferred employer) is ready, we transfer employment, knowledge, and process ownership on an agreed cutover plan — so the team keeps delivering without a cliff edge.

What you get

  • Workforce plan and hiring roadmap for the Malaysia capability
  • Recruitment for engineers, QA, data, cloud, support, and leads
  • Employment and payroll during Operate (EOR / contract employment)
  • Account management, engagement, and retention support
  • Documented transfer checklist — contracts, access, and knowledge handover

Who it is for

  • Foreign companies entering Malaysia before or during entity setup
  • Product and IT firms building a captive or nearshore squad in KL / PJ
  • Organisations that want speed now and ownership later
  • Teams combining BOT with language desks or managed support later

FAQs

How is BOT different from EOR alone?

Employer of Record solves legal employment for people you already want to hire. BOT is a programme: we help build the team, operate it under compliant employment, then transfer when you are ready. EOR is often the Operate engine inside BOT.

How long is a typical BOT engagement?

It depends on ramp size and entity readiness. Many programmes run 12–36 months from first hires to transfer, with milestones agreed up front. Shorter pilots are possible for a first squad.

Who owns IP and delivery during Operate?

Delivery direction stays with you. IP, confidentiality, and access rules are written into the commercial and employment documents before hire — the same discipline as our staff augmentation and EOR work.

Can we start with a small squad?

Yes. BOT often starts with a core pod (for example 3–8 people), then scales once delivery and process are proven.
